the 23rd August, and to inform you that

His Majesty will not be advised to exercise

his power of disallowance in respect of

Ordinance No. 11 of 1916 entitled "An

Ordinance to amend the Revenue Officers

Power of Arrest Ordinance, 1913

since the terin 2. I am advised that the "Revenue

Officer" is defined in the Interpretation

Ordinance, 1911, us confined to any person

appointed to act as revenue officer under

Ordinance49 of 1911, and that from this

it follows that only a'person appointed

under the latter Ordinance may exercise

the powers conferred by section2 of the

Revenue Officers Power of Arrest Ürdinance
